Delete your Vein

How to delete your Vein Chat account and everything on it, with or without the app. Vein Chat is made by Executive Edge, LLC.

In the app

Open Vein Chat, then Settings, Accounts, Delete my Vein. Confirm with your password.

Without the app

Email vein@fastmail.com with the subject "Delete my Vein" and your Vein's name (the part before .vein.chat). Send it from the email address you gave at sign-up if you gave one. Never send your password. Before deleting anything we check that the request comes from the Vein's owner. If you gave no email at sign-up, we may ask you to sign in at yourname.vein.chat to confirm. A person answers, usually within one business day.

What gets deleted

Your Vein stops at once. 7 days later it is permanently deleted with everything on it: your chats, email, contacts, settings, the accounts and networks you connected (and their sign-in tokens), your password, and the email address you gave us. Within those 7 days, email us to undo it. We keep no backups of your Vein, so nothing comes back after the 7 days.

Deleting your Vein does not delete your accounts on other services (WhatsApp, Gmail and the rest). Messages you sent stay with the people you sent them to. To remove Vein's access to a Google account sooner, visit myaccount.google.com/permissions.

What we keep

A one-line record that a Vein with that name was deleted, and the billing history of a paid plan (dates, amounts, plan), which we keep as long as tax law requires, usually up to 7 years. Payments are handled by Stripe, which keeps its own payment records under its privacy policy. We never see your card number.

Paid plans

Deleting your Vein ends its plan: no charges come after the deletion. To cancel without deleting, use Manage billing in Settings, Accounts, Your Vein plan, or email us. For a refund or a billing question, email us.
